Membership
Membership Details
- Pay for a one-time share (refundable) due the day you join. You can pay all at once, or at a minimum rate of $25 quarterly after you join. You may defer your first year's share payment for up to ____ months from the date you join.
- One membership = One vote
- Membership card number will be stored in the point-of-sale register. Presenting the card during the POS transactions is not required
- There will be a $20 non-refundable processing fee added on to members that pay by installments. This fee will be waived for senior, low income, and disabled members
- Payments are kept in the Co-op's Capital Account and are refundable to active members upon request
- Employees, Board members, nor committee members will receive free membership

Member Non-Financial Benefits:
- Community Ownership: The Tacoma Food Co-op is Tacoma's only community-owned, community-run grocery store. Community ownership means member-owners have a voice in how the business operates. This support preserves and celebrates what is unique and local. Community ownership is the converse of corporate domination of resources.
